The My First Lab Ultimate MFL-85 Digital Microscope
is the same as the MFL05 microscope but additionally
packed with a digital eyepiece to connect your scope
to a Windows compatible computer.
The MFL 85 is recommended for students through the
6th grade. It has a built-in illuminator on a base
with a rechargeable battery light source. The detachable
AC power cord can power the light or recharge the
battery for portable use. Battery charge lasts for
hours and can be recharged hundreds of times.
This all-metal student microscope has a fixed head
inclined at a 45 degree angle for comfortable viewing.
Great for seeing insect parts, pond life, fibers,
and much, much more!
The MFL85 is a Plug & Play type where your computer
should automatically recognize the driver type on
Windows XP and Vista Operating Systems. If you use
Apple OS (Version 10.4.9 and higher) the device is
also Plug & Play, so no drivers are needed. However,
you still need MAC compatible image capture software
to "take pictures". Photo Booth, iChat or
Skype are just a few of such programs. Comes with
Ulead® Photo Explorer software which allows you
to view live color images from the scope, save them,
edit, add text, even include in an email!
