| How do I get around
the web site? From
all pages of GeckoOptical.com, you will see at the top navbar area. From
here you go to view, post, modify,and add a photo or delete your ads. Please
click on one amongst the top navbar menu, depending on the action that
you want to take. When you do post an ad you will be asked to Sign In.
You will also be given an ad number. In the future, anytime that you want
to modify or delete that ad, you will need to know the ad number and your
password. Therefore, please make a note of them. You will be e-mailed your
ad number once you post your ad. One needs to sign in to respond to any
of the ads through out GeckoOptical.com. |

How do I post an ad? From all pages
of GeckoOptical.com , click on the "Post an Ads" found at the
top navbar of each page. You will be asked to Sign In. You will then be
taken to the "Post an Ad" page. Here you select a category in
the field. Then click the continue button. Then fill out all the form.
Once complete, you can click on either "Post This Ad" or "Preview
This Ad" Click on the "Submit This Ad" button. You will
then see an acknowledgement page "Go View Your Ad" if your ad
was successfully posted. Also at this page you can "Upload a Photo".
You will also be given an ad number. Please make a note of your password
and the ad number, because you will need these if you ever want to modify
or delete your ad.

| You keep going back to the registration page when you post
an ad?
You registered or sign in, but each time you try to post, delete,
modify or renew an ad you go back to the registration page. Again you press
Submit Ads after signing in and back to the registration page yet again.
No this is not a sudden malfunction. You need to enable cookies with your
browser. Enabled cookies keeps track of the username in a cookie while
the user is signed in. Go
to the top of your browser. Click onto "Tools" a
drop menu will display and now click onto "Internet Options"
Then
to "Privacy" Once there you click on the button "Advance" and
enable cookies. This is the procedure when using the operating system
Windows XP. This procedure would be similar to other operating systems.

| Do I have to use my real name when posting
an ad? Yes.
It is encourage to use your real name. The script will simply publish whatever
you put in the first and last name fields. People relate to a real name
than a nickname or pseudo name such as bozo the clown! Your real name amongst
the ad, makes the buyer comfortable with a purchase. A name is the true
identity of a person. If the person is selling an item, you might want
to follow up with a phone call. Ask for the person by name to confirm the
seller. Read more on preventing fraud. |

| Are HTML tags allowed amongst an ad? No. You can not use
HTML tags in the body of the message. If insert HTML tags in any of the
fields of your ad, the script will just throw out everything in between
the <> tags's. You do have the option, however, of putting a URL
to a picture of the item if you have posted it somewhere else on the Web. |

| What should I put in the "Description" field? Please
describe the item that you are trying to sell in as much detail as you
can. Such as make, model, serial number if any. Descriptive detail helps
with a sale along with a support photo. This all helps with any misunderstandings
of an ad. You are allowed a 220 word description amongst your ads. |

| Why didn't my ad show up? Your ad most likely did not show
up because either you were in the wrong category (such as "Telescopes" instead
of "Optometry") or you specified search criteria that don't appear
in your ad. If so, please verify that you selected the correct category
and then broaden your search by leaving more of the search fields blank. |

| How do I modify my ad? Once you have
singed in you can go ahead to modify your ads. At the top left of every
page you will find the "Modify Ad" from the yellow drop down
menu. Go to "Submit Ads" then in the menu click "Modify
Ads". Then you will see a search form. The form will ask for the ad
number. Once you have entered the number, click on the "Modify My
Ad" button. If you entered the correct information, your ad will be
displayed with a modification form beneath it. The current information
from your ad will already be filled in, so you only need to modify the
fields that you want to change. Once you have filled in the form, click
on the "Modify My Ad" button. You should then see an acknowledgement
page if your ad was successfully modified. |

| How do I delete my ad? Once you have
signed in you can go ahead to delete your ad. At the top left of every
page you will find the "Delete Ads" from the yellow drop down
menu. Go to "Submit Ads" then in the menu click "Delete
Ads". If you are the author of this ad. You will ask for the ad number
that you entered with this ad. Once you have entered the ad number, click
on the "Delete This Ad" button. Your ad is then deleted. |

| Why is my ad not highlighted? When
you sign in. Then click "View Ads" as seen on the top left of
every page. You will then come to the index page of the many categories.
Opposite the word Index is the words "View Ads List". Click on
this and you will see all ads listed and highlighted. Your ads are not
highlighted so you can tell straight away between your ads and other ads.
Other users will see your ads highlighted either blue or cyan on their
computers. A yellow highlight is a sponsor with a web address amongst an
ad. |

| How do I navigate the search results page? The
results of your search will be displayed on the search results page. The
search area is found along the column of every page. You must have two
or more letters in the search field. Then click the button "Search". |

of the ads will allow you to contact the person who has posted the ad. Simply
click on "Respond To This Ad" amongst the ad. Then you will be taken to a
reply page. Simply fill out the fields with your message and contact e-mail
address. Then click reply to button for your message to be sent. Some people
choose to have their e-mail address displayed with an ad |
