With Stereo Zoom Microscopes, once the specimen is
brought into focus, you can change the magnification
to suit your needs without refocusing. The SMZ range
of stereo zoom binocular and trinocular microscopes
are used in educational, industrial, or medical use
in agriculture, geology,
archeology or biology fields.
A stereo microscope
and stereo zoom microscope has two objectives that view
the specimen. These work totally independently, and
the image from each independent light path converges
in the eyepieces to produce the 3D stereoscopic view.
The stereo zoom microscope can be either on an upright
lighted base or on a boom stand.
Standard configuration:
- 3D system is infinitely variable
- 10X wide field eyepiece with rubber eyeguards
- Binocular observation tubes inclined 45 degrees
- Head rotatable 360 degrees
- Interpupillary distance adjustable 54mm to 75mm
- Horizontal zoom controls at each side of head
- 0.7X to 4.5X objectives for total magnification
7X to 45X
- Field of view range from 32.8mm to 5.1mm diameter
- 100mm working distance
- 15W variable intensity Halogen lamps
- 3 way power switch allows incident (top) lighting,
- Transmitted (lower) lighting or both,
- Dust cover and instruction manual
- Overall size: 101/2”x15”x201/2”(H)
Although the cost is less for fixed magnification stereo
microscopes, a zoom stereo microscope is the best
investment considering the ease of operation. A stereo
zoom microscope is considered a low power microscope
because magnifications typically don’t go over
about 45x in standard configuration. With the addition
of 20x eyepiece sets and auxillary barlow lens, our
stereo zoom microscope can go up to 180x magnification.
The magnification is doubled using a pair of 20x magnification
microscope eyepieces instead of the standard 10x magnification
microscope eyepieces. Our Stereo zoom microscopes come
as binocular and trinocular versions. They are not available
in monocular
microscopes like a compound
light microscope. A binocular
microscope has two eyepieces. A trinocular
microscope has the two viewing eyepieces with 3rd
vetical trinocular eyetube to enable the fitting of
a USB
computer connected microscope camera.
