| Model Number: SMZ-07
With Stereo Zoom Microscopes, once the specimen is brought
into focus, you can change the magnification to suit
your needs without refocusing.
Detailed description:
This new Zoom scope provides incredibly sharp, clear stereo
images with a wider magnification range and larger stage platform.
The trinocular version offers the third eyetube for camera
attachments (sold separately). The SMZ is versatile enough
for educational, industrial, or medical use in agriculture,
geology, archeology or biology fields.
Same as features as the SMZ-05 except with the addition of
a third vertical eyetube.
Eyepiece not included.
Although the cost is less for fixed magnification stereo
microscopes, a stereo zoom trinocular microscope is the
best investment considering the ease of operation. A stereo
zoom trinocular microscope is considered a low power microscope
because magnifications typically don’t go over about
45x in standard configuration. With the addition of 20x eyepiece
sets and auxillary barlow lens, our stereo zoom microscope
can go up to 180x magnification.
The magnification is doubled using a pair of 20x magnification
microscope eyepieces instead of the standard 10x magnification
microscope eyepieces. Our Stereo zoom microscopes come as
binocular and trinocular versions. They are not available
in monocular
microscopes like a compound
light microscope. A binocular
microscope has two eyepieces. A trinocular
microscope has the two viewing eyepieces with 3rd vetical
trinocular eyetube to enable the fitting of a USB
computer connected microscope camera.
Gecko Optical also specialize in Stereo
Zoom Boom Microscopes & Stereo Boom Stand Mounted Microscope
equipment.

Optional Auxiliary Objectives and Eyepieces Up to
180X Magnification Available
When selecting the magnification
of eyepieces and objective lenses for your stereo
boom stand microscope, working distance must also
be considered as well as depth of field. A long working
distance is usually a preferrence so the operator
can work under the stereoscopic microscope head.
The standard configuration is 7X
to 45X magnification with a 100mm long working distance.
For circuit board repair using soldering, this is
always advisable, and the objective lens provides
protection from the soldering fumes and prevents it
entering the microscope head, therefore reducing the
chances of costly microscope repair and microscope
servicing.
